All great ideas but I would also add another item to it: consider doing a virtual event/meeting. I know it may be out of scope of your cup of tea, but there's an animation series called Dennou Coil which sort of fits this vision of the future. Interesting concepts and stuffs.... you know, all that future stuffs.
